Description

The winery Mas Blanch i Jové, located in the picturesque village of La Pobla de Cérvoles, combines art, wine and territory perfectly in La Vinya dels Artistes (The Artists' vineyard), the highest placed winery of the Costers del Segre appellation of origin.

Inaugurated in 2009, La vinya dels Artistes offers a pleasant free walk where fourteen works made by prestigious catalan creators such as Carles Santos, Esteve Casanoves, Assumpció Mateu, Eva Lootz, Evru, Frederic Amat, Carlos Pazos, Susana Solano, Joan Brossa, and Josep Guinovart. The latter is the author of the design of the winery and of the 10.5m wide In Vino Veritas mural located in the tasting room. Another work that stands out for its elaboration is Between Heaven and Earth (Entre el Cel i la Terra, in catalan) by Gregori Iglesias. It was painted in 2013 for more than 2 months in the middle of the vineyard, it is 60 meters high and is located in the boot room of the winery.

In addition to the permanent works of art, temporary exhibitions are scheduled there. The Vinya dels Artistes becomes thus an original museum of Les Garrigues zone and a perfect place for poetry recitals, outdoor paintings, children's games, opera, dance, theater...

Among its facilities, the winery also has the Cinc Sons (Five Dreams) rural house with capacity for 10 people.

In the midst of the many recent awards the winery received, it should be highlighted the Wine Tourism Award 2022 of catalans wines (Vinari prize) for the Best Wine Tourism Visit and Wine Tasting Experience 2021 thanks to the Breakfast at the Cellar.
