The 1982 flood which put the lower part of the city underwater evidenced a primary need: to channel the flow of the river through the city. This was the perfect excuse to create one of the country’s largest urban parks which has turned, with the passing of the years, into a neuralgic point for sport and taking walks for a good part of the city.
It has several accesses from the bridges that connect the two banks of the city. Some of the many activities practiced there under the watchful eye of Seu Vella are walking, sunbathing, playing football-playing, running or dog-walking.
