Promoted by Francesc Xammar, a doctor from Lleida, and designed by the Lleida architect Francesc de Paula Morera i Gatell, it was built around the second decade of the 20th century (1920-1950). It stands with the main facade on Blondel avenue and the rear facade on Madrid Avenue, inscribed in a modernist language of a sober character.
The original access door on the Madrid Avenue facade was altered to give use to a café, but originally this facade gave access to the carriages to a side yard that occupied most of the length of the floor.
The house stands out for its large gallery with large windows and stone ornamentation. With a quadrangular ground floor plan, it originally had only two floors and in 1954 were added the two floors above.
