With a tradition of more than 60 years, canoeing in Lleida is mainly practiced in the stretch of the Mitjana river: 1500 linear meters of calm waters and a privileged exuberant environment.

It is now a hundred years since a small dam was built at the entrance to Lleida to collect water for the Seròs canal. This caused the final stretch of the river before reaching the city to stagnate. For decades this has been a little paradise for lovers of canoeing and rowing, who have a splendid natural space close to the city. The Saül Craviotto canoeing center is the base of operations for Lleida residents who like to paddle. It owes its name to the Olympic champion in kayaking.

The center consists of a main facility that houses the changing rooms with a capacity for 30 people, gym (70m²), club hotel, offices of the Catalan Canoeing Federation, meeting room and common areas for the clubs ( 40m²), storage, toilets and a hangar for canoes.

The second facility is a small hangar located next door, which is intended to store canoes, especially the equipment of the smaller ones. It has an access ramp to the platform of the sports area on the riverbed, fact that makes it accessible to everyone.
