Rossello's Aroma, the Lleida Provence

The lavender, a symbol of the French Provence, is the protagonist of the flowering during the month of June in the Horta of Lleida.

This year 2022 was the fifth lavender flowering season, thanks to Aromes de Can Rosselló which opens its doors to a rich program in tastings, experiences and emotions.

All the offered activities consolidate Lleida as a tourist destination of nature, tranquility and glamour. But a walk among the lavender fields opens up all our senses, from sight and smell to the relaxation generated by the spectacular colors of the flower at its most appreciated moment by both lovers of aromatic herbs and those who do not know them yet.

In addition, they offer a range of products from air fresheners and natural cosmetics such as soap and lavender essential oils, distilled through the steam technique, to lavender craft beer.

In the estate, the mural "El Pont del Boc de Biterna" can be seen, inaugurated in 2021, and related to the festival and representation of the Witches of Pont del Boc which talks about the old history of the accusation of witchcraft of a group of women who practiced natural medicine. The Pont del Boc de Biterna, near Aromes de Can Rosselló, dates from the s. XVI.

2022 ACTIVITIES

• Opening ceremony of the fifth lavender blooming season.
• Lavender night of sensory gastronomy with outstanding chefs from Lleida awarded with national and international prizes.
• Short historical film La Maleta de l'Horta to publicize the Democratic Memory of Horta of Lleida.
• La Bohème watercolor workshop with materials included, in collaboration with the Josep Carreras Foundation against Leukemia.
• Cooking Workshop together with the Nutrition Clinic Kitchen Room to taste and enjoy the lavender flower in an outdoor dinner.
• Composition of a Creative Herbarium in a wooden frame, with lavender and pressed flowers to appreciate the beauty of Lavender.
• Tale of stories to promote tales from the Horta of Lleida such as The healing herbs of Can Rosselló.
• Guided tours with the possibility to collect your own bouquet of lavender and take it home.
• Photography courses with the Seu Vella cathedral and the sunset in the background.

The following activities are also planned for the next 2023 edition:

• Soap making workshops with lavender essential oils.
