International neo-folk festival that fuses traditional music with avant-garde rhythms from around the world.
A pioneering neo-folk festival throughout Spain, the MUD happens to be one of the most accentuated festivals of its kind in the country. With a focus on folk music but with an unlimited breadth of views that makes it unique in the festival circuit, its programming is an attractive showcase where folk merges with many other musics, experiences without prejudice and tests any stylistic barrier.
Program
The MUD is partly a traditional music festival, while it is also an avant-garde festival. A meeting point between tradition and modernity.
In the previous eighteen editions, British folk-rock legends such as Fairport Convention, Magna Carta or Nick Mulvey great national names such as Manel, Sílvia Pérez Cruz or Roger Mas, small and large international unknowns such as Lisa or Piu, The Tree People, Stille, Volk have passed through its stages, and a long etcetera.
All forming programs that provide added value and that make the MUD a unique festival.
Observations
- The concerts can be enjoyed in different spaces in the city such as Teatre de l'Escorxador, Teatre de la Llotja, Espai Orfeó and the Grans Records store-brewery in Lleida.
- Free or paid tickets with limited capacity depending on the concert.
- In advance reservation is essential.
